Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation 1 Aug 03, 2007 12:16 pm I am installing cabling for the home theatre system in a new house and was wondering if it is better to run the cable straight through the wall.
My wife says it looks ugly and wants to connect the speakers to a wall plate. I think these are called Banna plates is this right.\ What are my other options Re: Wall plates for rear speaker 2Aug 03, 2007 12:52 pm Those are your options!
Banana plugs are the connection style. The wallplates are not expensive. cables and banna plates 3Aug 03, 2007 12:57 pm Mat
I am not familar with cabling so excuse my silly questions. Can I connect the straight speaker wire that I plug into my current 5.1 reciever into these Banna plates. It is just two little wires coming from the one cable Re: Wall plates for rear speaker 4Aug 05, 2007 3:47 pm That's correct Steve.
You can get these speaker connection (banana / binding post) wallplates in configurations of 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 speakers (ie. 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 banana / binding post connections) on the one plate. They also make these wallplates for a variety of different video connections too. And, don't forget your subwoofer (it doesn't have to live next to your A/V gear if you don't want - it can be placed anywhere in the room, as long as it ends up near a power point). Hi All, see above image. The required setback from the rear boundary in my case is 5m, as you can see the shape of the site and location of the boundary is slightly… 0 8463 Thank you again Simeon.. I will call my certifier for that. Have a good day 4 5197 |
