This is the fella I used. info@jksatelliteservices.com.au Authorised Select TV Dealer/Installer Re: TV Antenna installer in Adelaide? 3Feb 07, 2010 10:28 pm I noticed today that Jims Antennas offer this service - quality parts & measures Bit Error Rate (what don't Jims franchises do these days? ) I can’t comment on the quality as I have not used them, but just thought it was another option for you to explore. I have a mate that just had jims antennas come and sort his aerial network out in his house. he was very professional not overpriced and did a very good job. My mate is an electrician that now works in the IT industry so he does know a decent job when he see's it. I have the guys details and ill be using him to set my place up when its finished although ill be running most of my RG6 myself ill still need the aerial and mount installed. Jims also come with a warranty Rossdale Homes "Houghton" Sovereign specification Re: TV Antenna installer in Adelaide? 5Feb 20, 2010 4:41 pm tpin70 Hills Guy I noticed today that Jims Antennas offer this service - quality parts & measures Bit Error Rate (what don't Jims franchises do these days? ) I can’t comment on the quality as I have not used them, but just thought it was another option for you to explore. Jims also come with a warranty As posted on dtvforum too.... I've had a few quotes from those that will come this far north (Munno Para West). Jim's Antennas - $310, uses a Matchmaster MD11 (nice and small!) Mr Antenna - $305, won't say what kind of antenna it is. Marsdens - $210, gave me a generic "Combination Analogue and Digital Antenna", I didn't press for model number etc. Only reason I'm asking them what type of antenna to use is because I remember seeing a few threads where installers had just used a cheap and nasty antenna and they had heaps of problems - not sure how this could be a problem when most of the above also test signal levels at the sockets etc?? Also, I would have expected at least a small discount for having all the internal cabling and wallplates done already - quite literally all they have to do is put the antenna up and connect it to a splitter in the roof space. Re: TV Antenna installer in Adelaide? 7May 10, 2010 7:48 am is this an attempt at a plug for your own company? joined today, 1st post all the info. I would expect and trust this info from someone that has been around for a while and had a building blog etc .. but soz .. someone that has just turned up shamelessly plugging someones company is a bit sus to me and really (as far as I know it ) against the board rules Rossdale Homes "Houghton" Sovereign specification Re: TV Antenna installer in Adelaide? 8May 10, 2010 3:20 pm TheWedgie Only reason I'm asking them what type of antenna to use is because I remember seeing a few threads where installers had just used a cheap and nasty antenna and they had heaps of problems - not sure how this could be a problem when most of the above also test signal levels at the sockets etc?? Cheap and Nasty aint always a bad thing. My current place is running off a $25 antenna that my installer mate put up for me for free just to test what it was like. Infinitely better than my old and far more expensive antenna. It's definitely a bit of an eyebrow raiser when you're getting crappy results when the installers should be testing signal levels though.
