Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation 1 Jan 15, 2010 5:17 pm g'day i was wondering if someone could lend me some installation info.. im installing 2 x security cameras in my house... my question is how do i get these camera signals to play on a selected channel throughout the house.. here is my current understanding ( and questions along the way ): i need a 2 channel rf modulator.. this combines the two camera signals into 1 output ( does this split the image on the same screen or does it split the image across 2 channels that i select? ) i locate this modulator in the ceiling then out of the modulator to a tv splitter which would pipe these camera signals throughout the house.. ( but what about FTA tv signals? do i need to get a dual input splitter ? ) OR does the 2 channel modulator go inline with the aerial signal.. therefore it just adds an extra channel with the standard fta channels ? any help would be greately appreciated... so would a nice drawn picture Electrical - Automation - Smart wiring - New homes - Commercial - Data cabling] 1300 050 315 www.cenemelectrical.com.au www.facebook.com/cenemelectrical Re: fta cctv help 2Jan 20, 2010 7:01 pm An easy one! you've almost got it... Get a 2 channel modulator for your cctv in's then get a splitter/ combiner that will take you're output from modulator + FTA and put them onto you're coax network. Starserve does this job really well. you can download the how too's from the Clipsal CIS website, get the starserve installers guide. It's got diagrams for lots of different senarios. have fun!!
