Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation 1 Jan 05, 2010 8:25 am I am trying to track down a 4 seater theatre lounge, that will fit into my 3.2m space. We have trawelled through the shops and i think there are a lot of shops selling the same thing out of china, which would be fine but its 3.5m wide. Amart do have these single 830mm wide theatre chairs in leather but they arent as nice as the microfibre jobs Does anyone have any suggestions or idea's on any alternatives? Our requirements are that its quite cheap (under 2k), can sit 4 people comfortably and preferably not all together (ie armrests in between the outside two or something). And has to be 3200mm or smaller. This is what we would like --> Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This will work, but isnt as nice to sit in --> It actually looks very nice in the pic's but is quite cheap in real life Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Blog - http://snakedr.blogspot.com/ Build Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=12084&p=307406#p307406 Status - PCI 15/10. If you can lift up the back cushion and restack or manipulate the foam/dacron inside its generally Aussie well made furniture with a decent warranty and generally the pulley system recliner will only be warrantied for a year because the plastic will just not last even though it looks more pleasing....so in this instance try and use a lever instead...... Just a few tips good luck and I hope you can find something Aussie made..... Thats one of the reasons I went with frogs, aussie made, use kiln dried hardwood frames, give 10 years warrantee on the frames and 5 years on the leather billdsl thanks maxy that does look good, ive emailed them for options, at that price id get shot down in flames by the boss before even thinking about it Just remember if you buy crap you will be replacing it in a few years but if you buy quality it will last a decade. Also I got a 12.5% discount on my couches compared to what was lsited on the website & that included delivery. Im hoping they'll do it in microfibre as opposed to leather to cut the costs a heap. Doubtful but worth asking. Im hoping they'll do it in microfibre as opposed to leather to cut the costs a heap. Doubtful but worth asking. On the website they say they can be very flexiable and when we went and saw them at their Eltham factory they were very accomodating. I was very happy with the quality on display and the materials used hence my order for 2 couches and 3 kids chairs that my 2yo found I know they were shutting down for xmas so I am not sure when they will be back on board but they have a 100% customer rating on eBay and they were attentive to my enquiries, good luck Blog: http://funmore-residence.blogspot.com/ Forum: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=21109 Construction Start - 19/09/09 Slab Poured - 21/10/09 Frame Completed - 25/11/09 Lockup - 22/12/09 Fixing - 22/02/10 Handover & Moved In 30/04/2010 Re: Help me find a home theatre lounge suite please! 8Jan 05, 2010 3:58 pm good feedback helps, if they do come to the party with the option and pricing its always good to know that someone has had a good experience. Re: Help me find a home theatre lounge suite please! 9Jan 05, 2010 7:08 pm Hmm, they will do it in a microfibre and the cost is good too. The only part that could be a stick in the mud is the freight up to brissy but ill sort through that tomorrow. thanks for the referral so far so good Blog - http://snakedr.blogspot.com/ Build Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=12084&p=307406#p307406 Status - PCI 15/10. Re: Help me find a home theatre lounge suite please! 10Jan 05, 2010 9:15 pm cool, I am pleased they were flexible yeah its a bit of a trek from the moorabin factory to ipswitch but if they give you a sofa like the ones I saw and sat in then your getting a good sofa. Unfortunately it will be late March before I can speak about mine but when we went to the showroom and sat down, I didnt want to get up and my mate is an upolsterer and he reckons a good sofa / chair is in the frame, hardwood and bolted, not stapled and according to their website and what they told me thier stuff is all hardwood and bolted. When I was enquiring a few months back about one of their sofas I'm sure it was coming from overseas. Perhaps some styles do and others are locally made. Re: Help me find a home theatre lounge suite please! 12Jan 06, 2010 8:07 am i recently purchased my family room couch from http://www.devlinlounges.com.au/. They are based locally but must have their gear built to spec in China. So I guess it could be something similar, but at least this way there is a local company providing the quality assurance. So maybe not actually Australian made, but made to standards a local smaller company is happy with rather than the quality you'd get from Amart. We're really happy with the lounge we have so wouldnt have an issue trying again. Blog - http://snakedr.blogspot.com/ Build Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=12084&p=307406#p307406 Status - PCI 15/10. But thinking to do a multipurpose lounge with balcony (kind of sunroom) in first floor… 0 4780 Hi all, My first post, we are building a house and canβt decide the layout of the lounge room. We have a large N/W facing window and are wanting to have a wood slow… 0 13724 Thankyou so much π I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK π 2 7158 |
