Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation 1 Nov 09, 2009 8:26 pm Hi, I am about to start building a home and although I dont have about $3k to shell out for a multi room audio system, I would like to ensure that all the wires are in place so I can add it easily later after the build. I am going to have a home theatre room with projector and a receiver etc but I wish for this to be separate to the audio system. The zones I require are as follows: (1) Living/Dining Area (2) Deck (outdoor) (3) Bar/Billiard Room (downstairs) Can you please advise the required cabling I wuold require (including for amplifiers if required) that should be installed to ensure the multi room system can be added easily later. I really appreciate any advise as I am very new to this. You need to figure out how you plan to control the system and from where, and likely work out which system or type of system you will aim for given your budget. You need to do more research - there is a fair bit of discussion on this subject in here, so do some reading. P.S. If your house is single storey then it won't be too hard to add required cabling later...
