Is there any reason why one could not use so-called pet immune PIRs to drive lighting automation? I would like to install some automatic lighting into the house (subdued lighting in the hall when going to the loo at night, that kind of thing) but I have cats, and I don't want them triggering the lights every time they go ripping through the house. So my hope is that triggering the lights with pet detecting PIRs might cut down the false triggers somewhat.
I realise false triggers can never eliminated completely, particularly with multiple cats running around. I just want to prevent as many falsies as I can.
