If you're looking at the Mitsi HC5500 then you should seriously consider the Epson TW3000 (the Mitsi uses an Epson-made LCD engine, as does Panasonic...). As far as amps go, I too would get Yamaha before I bought Onkyo (I think you get more bang for buck with Yamaha, it's just that Yamaha is not quite as refined as your Marantz or Denon equivalents. Whereas Onkyo seem to think they can charge Marantz/Denon prices for a Yamaha quality product...), but really I'd go for Marantz for the edge in quality... The prices you mentioned certainly do seem to be retail (the screens for example are retail prices). Hey JM - my Orpheus Aurora 3s were very nice (that was 3 sets of speakers ago ) - back when they were $1500 a pair. I find that these days the Aussie speaker market wants it's fair share of the Hi-end audio dollar and they all seem to be asking the same sort of money if not more than equivalent imports (eg. the Krix Neuphonics RRP is $3495 vs the slightly superior Paradigm Monitor 11 @ RRP $2899)... 9 24637 1 13044 Can anyone give me any onfo on New Homes WA? Good or bad, hopefully good just need to know if my choice was good or not? Thanks ❤️ 0 8933 |
