Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation 1 Aug 28, 2009 12:25 pm Im having a very hard time getting to work i had it all working at the other house but now it wont work at all:( i am using a hdmi in the tv and it goes in to the pc as a monitor. but its still not showing on the tv we have a panasonic plasma any help would be fab John, Tarin and the Kids Built and moving in to the Regent Grande with Masterton homes http://thebrownsaremovingtothecountry.blogspot.com Re: Any one have a HP Media centre? 2Aug 28, 2009 4:24 pm despite this really isn't on topic.. and would be more suited to a computer forum... basically you need to ensure you have both screens can been seen by windows.. as you havn't listed what OS you are using i can't give you specific advice to fix that how ever if you do post that then i can help you.. one other way is to unplug the pc monitor every time you want to use the TV to force it to use the HMDI output. Well, the first thing you need to do is make sure the PC works OK with a regular PC monitor via standard VGA cable. If so, then you need to go through a process of elimination - either the HDMI cable (1), the HDMI output from the PC (2) or the HDMI input on the TV (3) is no good: (1) Try another HDMI cable - a good one. (2) If the HDMI output socket is on an add-on (and therefore replaceable) VGA card then you might need to swap the card for another one. If the socket is on the motherboard and it's faulty then it means the whole motherboard would need replacing. Or you might Simply need to reInstall it's drivers... (3) If after trying the above you still get no joy then it might be a good idea to see if it works on another plasma. If it does and still doesn't on yours... can you say potential Warranty Claim... P.S. There is heaps and heaps and heaps of info just like this on the Aussie XP Media Centre forum - if no one is answering your question perhaps it's because they'd prefer you did the searching yourself (as they will have answered the same question many times already...).
