Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation 1 Jun 28, 2009 5:28 pm Hi, We're desigining our new house, and have put in a home theatre room - 4x6m. Initially we wanted it as a dedicated HT room, but now I am thinking I would like it to be a little more versatile. We will only have one sitting area, so would be great if there was another one for the kids. Has anyone tried putting a sound proof sliding wall (or sliding glass wall) so that it can be opened up. The sliding wall will be on the 6m length. Of course then I have to think about allowing for thick curtains to run across this when it is being used as a HT. And might even introduce a window to allow for some natural light (even though it looks directly onto the fence). Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Re: Versatile Home Theatre - Sliding glass wall??? 2Jun 29, 2009 10:33 am Hi mate. I'm glad you mentioned the curtains, as much for sound as for light. About the only thing I can really think of right now is that it will certainly have a price attached... we have a standard size and often we have a lot of variety to choose 0 3575 Thanks Chippy,I do have one that I levered out. I'll try to find a brand name on the windows then do some searching. Here is a photo where you can see how worn they are. 2 7958 We are looking for sliding doors which are 5 metres tall. There are a few European options. Any manufacturers in Australia or distributors? 0 5039 |
