Hi All,
I've been investigating methods for A/V distribution for installation during my upcoming house build.
I'm familiar with the Clipsal Star Serve, but in reading this forum have seen that there are some products from Elan Home Systems which may be useful in the system.
The planned setup is as follows:
1: Living room with video sources and audio amplifier and RF modulator for RF video/audio distribution to other locations in the house.
2: Central hub which receives FTA TV and modulated video sources, then uses an RF combiner and splitter and distributes the RF video/audio to other locations in the house. (looking at having the ability to distribute to 6 locations)
3: Require the ability to send IR signals from remote locations to the video sources.
From my understanding the Clipsal RF modulator is an analogue modulator and to view the video on my digital TVs, I'd have to use the built in analgoue tuner.
Does the Elan MOD4000 4-Channel Digital Modulator allow me to distribute on digital channels? Will this result in a better picture quality? How is Audio modulated by this product? What is the cost?
How do the Elan products: VDA16B 1x6 Bi-Directional RF Distribution Amplifier and VDA38H 3x8 High-Headroom RF Distribution Amplifier compare to the Clipsal equivalents?
Thanks!
