We have to go out and get some new plasm TV's.
We have found a 42inch LG plasma at Hardly Normal for $1299 - haven't asked as yet if they can do better
It says this on the website:
Integrated Plasma 42" HD TV
XD Engine
True Motion 100Hz
14 Bit Processing (4.3 Trillion Colour)
3 HDMI Input
Invisible Speaker.
Does this sound ok?
We don't need anything extremely fancy, we are basically just after a plasma that we can watch normal tv, foxtel, movies on. A plasma that can be wall mounted and one that doesn't require a seperate set top box. Will this do all that?
What would be the difference between the LG one mentioned above and then the same size LG with the following?
Single Layer
Frameless Protection
True motion with 100Hz effect + Fast Response Time 0.001ms
Flicker-free & Blur-free with no eye stress
Super Bright Panel (Contrast Ratio 30,000:1)
Brighter than ever with anti-reflection
ISFccc Calibration Ready
In-home calibration at a professional level
Dual XD Engine
Invisible Speaker
Clear Voice
USB 2.0: Play & Enjoy! - Music & Photo
HDMI™ (V.1.3 with Deep Colour)
Digital multi-connectivity
The 2nd LG is advertised for $1499 - why the price difference. Half of the things mentioned above we don't eve know what they mean!
At the moment we have a Soniq 42 inch plasma (cheapo JB HI FI brand that DH won) we have had no problems with it and the picture quality is fine for us. The only thing we would want to upgrade on it is the fact you need the seperate set top box for it which we don't want on our new tvs.
ANy help?
