Running speaker cable near power ?

Hey everyone, ran all the cabling for my HT yesterday, and all went well. Problem is the builder wanted us to go through before the sparky. My main concern is if the speaker cabling crosses pathes with the electrical cabling.
Should i be looking to purchase some sort of shielding ?
Perhaps Rodda or Matt would have come across this problem a few times ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
BTW used 12 AWG from Selby, which is not shielded cable, just in case you need to know ??

Thanks to all

PS have tried **** Smith, Tandy & Jaycar....no luck with any type of shielding.
should be fine.. you don't need to sheild you just aviod.... ie route the cables another way to aviod power runs.. tho amplified signals are generally less prone to interfrence...

best way run cable sis always to cross power like this + once and once only if you can't avoid it other ways
Thanks Pugs for the heads up, much appreciated
