Sorry if this has been covered, but I'm being naughty I'm on this site instead of packing and havnt got time to search
I have a panasonic plasma ,or will have next week in new house , 50 inch but a full hd one. I got a free blue ray with it.
I was in HN yesterday and the guy said I have to get a 1080P (specified the "P") he said I need this to get the true stuff of what the blue ray can put out over to the plasma.
sorry about choice of words you can tell I'm a novice
Then he said they are $200
Is he ripping me off or is this what I have to pay, I thought they would be about $30.
I also have a panasonic surround sound with amp, not dvd player to run it, that he said was the equivalent to what their selling now but they have changed the colour from silver to black. (It has 4 floor standing speakers)
He said I shouldnt get any better sound from the new ones even if I bought one
as the only difference is the colour and HDMI input which wont give me better sound.
so I will stick to what I have until I can afford to upgrade to something better if this is right.
I was thinking of selling the blu-ray and surround sound and buying a panasonic blu-ray combined with an amp surround sound pack but he said its better to have seperate componets is this right?
If so I will save myself about $1000
