Hi all,
I bought my StarServe system from Clipsal few weeks ago, and since it's impossible to transmit HD signals over the RG6 cable, I thought that I might give these HDMI extenders a go. I will leave the RG6 cable to transmit the IR signals only.
What I need to do is, say that the Bluray player is sitting in the HT room, and I want to watch Bluray movie in the family room. Using the HDMI extender to transmit the A/V HD signal, and the Clipsal IR transmitter to control the Bluray player. Is that possible ?
The connections needs to go like this,
HT -- HDMI extender -- Cat6--StarServe Box--Cat6--HDMI extender--Family Room
Maximum total length of the entire connection will be 30 metres.
Are there better alternative solutions for transmitting signals over either RG6 or CAT6 cables ?
Cheers
