Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation 1 Apr 22, 2009 9:48 pm Hey gang, We're getting 9' ceilings in our house, including in the home theatre. I'd like to get an idea of how expensive it would be to add bulkheads after construction is complete, sort of like in this sample image: Also, anyone got an rough estimates on how much it costs to build raised floors? Job itself is very easy if you want to make sq and just a bit harder if using angles as per your photo. would only be 2 days work for a good chippy and he could also screw up plaster as well. Re: Bulkheads and raised floors for a home theatre 6Apr 30, 2009 12:07 pm pasey25 I'm sure i paid less than $2000 for two tiers of raised floor, and a complicated bulkhead in my theater Pasey, I'm currently building in Melbourne's northern suburbs -- did your builder do this for you, or did you add it later? If the latter, could you PM me the details of who did this for you? Thanks!
