They offer me with Aria Soprano IC 612 6.5" ceiling speakers. Thanks for your advice. Metricon Amira Re: Aria Soprano Ceiling Speakers 3Apr 22, 2009 12:52 pm What will you be playing through them? If its for movies or TV, I would reccomend against ceiling speakers, speakers should be at ear height, coming from the roof will spoil how it should sound. If its for music, its not that big an issue, as its generally not as directional. Sorry, gotta clarify this point a bit If it's for AMBIENT OR BACKGROUND music then this is not as big an issue (in fact it's A-OK for this type of listening), however, if you are planning on being a bit more of a discerning listener then the sonic image is as important as it is in movies, and therefore so is the position of the speakers. Ceiling speakers are excellent for multi-room audio systems (as they tend to be more of an ambient nature), and for surround speakers in a home cinema sound system (for the exact same reason), but I would not recommend them for the front speakers (Left, Right, or Centre) for any home cinema or critical listening application.
