Hi Guys.. I have a sort of HT question..
I am looking at different options for baby monitors and thought maybe a wireless IP camera would be a cool option – that way I can access the stream from anywhere.
Has anyone done this, and if so what sort of hardware has been used? If I could pick something up that has audio as well that would be a bonus. I don't want to spend a fortune (no more than $200) so any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I don't think you'll get anything decent for under 200 bucks...you can try ebay...
you are probably better off leaving a computer wiwth a cheap webcam at home
You are better off getting a wireless night vision camera and use the computer as the main point. I think swann have a nice $200 package with one camera.

Wired IP camera into your router/switch
Wireless IP camera to power point and would connect to your wireless network
PC (or laptop) running a webcam
Wireless video baby monitor, google found http://www.nextag.com/wireless-baby-vid ... earch-html

If you were to get a wireless video baby monitor, be aware of the frequency it uses. I have one using 2.4GHz. Signal got so much interference. I can just barely get an ok picture from the adjacent room. Audio is impossible. I have a separate audio only monitor for sound.
I never use those 5GHz one, but believe they are more reliable.
