Where are the speakers? How is it powered? How is it controlled?
My guess is that it was part of a system rather than being the whole system itself, like this: http://www.jamo.com/Default.aspx?ID=141 ... ctID=17788 Re: multi room audio 3Feb 15, 2009 5:49 pm part of a larger system.. powered from a 12V psu back in a "comms" rack <not an issue for the client was like a clipsal/hills tv cbus cabinet
had a "source selector", volume control and 3.5mm input on it. was about the size of a cigi pack at the back. speakers where run from it to anywhere in the room, and had "main" source feed in the comms rack... had a european sounding name Kodiak Data Cabling onFaceBook Consult*, Design and Installation Data, TV, Home Theatre/ AV Cabling, Multi Room Audio, IP CCTV and Door Intercoms Ask for a Quote. *DIY DATA Cabling Is Ilegal Re: multi room audio 4Feb 16, 2009 7:42 am Jamo is European.
There are many multi-room audio systems available, and a few do things a little differently (like your example where the amplifier is in the wallplate - like the Jamo system, a setup that I personally believe is not the best way to do it... I prefer the more standard way where your electronics - including the amplifier(s), are all centrally located and only the controls (keypad) and speakers are in the rooms - like the Elan System 6. Management of the system is more simplified this way. Hey, I am wanting to add a second toilet to my house, bit we have limited room.
