Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation 1 Feb 13, 2009 5:43 am I am meeting up with the electrician and going to ask him to wire a pp and tv point out in Alfresco.
I am hoping to be able to get a cheap lcd to mount on the wall next summer if funds allow. ( Ive seen them for around $400). That way dh will sit outside with me instead of watching the cricket inside Dont want nothing too flash only enough to see whats going on and listen to the score so sound and picture quality hasnt got to be the bees knees if it has dvd in it even better then i can watch music ones Anyone got any experiences with this, like is it safe electically wise or will moisture in the air cause problems. would it be too bright to see the tv properly, it is north east facing but the tv will be on the house wall 3.5 meters away from the edge of the alfresco roof. or does anyone know of any pros and cons regarding this? Thanks. We are definitely getting a tv point to the alfresco too but weren't too sure whether to put a tv out there permanently or not. Would look awesome but for us, would probably not be utilised all that frequently. After reading about the condensation issue, the decision is a no-brainer.... the TV will stay inside until needed. Just make sure I get a secure bracket so noone will bump my tv off. So maybe I can just hook it up for summer or weekends when I'm going to be out there, as it will only be a portable tv size so shouldnt be too heavy. I notice when I play golf theres a guy there that has one and it seems to be a permenant fixture. I wonder if you can get special covers for them for when they are not in use!
