Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation Re: Sitting distance from a maximum of 100" Plasma ? 17Feb 28, 2009 11:13 pm Rodda I've said this before in another thread here. For me it's quite simple - all of today's decent Home Cinema projectors are natively 16:9, and anything they show that is not they simply 'reduce' their projected image to suit (either by blacking out rows of pixels top and bottom or columns of them on the sides). All HDTV is 16:9, as is (bloody should be anyway) most SD digital TV. Get a 16:9 screen. Anything else is a excercise in unwanted brain strain... Except if you get an anamorphic lens then you will still use the full pixels. If you watch movies the most and don't mind paying 2k for some lens on top of the projector then that is the way to go.. but for me, as I said earlier, I watch more TV than movies so I'm not going to bother. The unit normally clips into a metal plate screwed to the wall, either plate is not flush, or unit not hooked in and could be hanging from the pipes partly, either might… 2 15791 The distance between my DEBs varies from 4.1m at the narrowest to 8.1m at the widest. 5 27310 Thanks again for this information.
