Hi All,
Not sure if this is the right place for this question but here goes anyway.
DS got an xbox 360 for christmas & wanted xbox live. We currently have adsl internet so off to the shops to buy a router & wireless network adapter to connect to xbox live. We were told to get an 'N' router which we did. We connected the router correctly & set up xbox live. Everything shows as being connected correctly, however within a few minutes of playing online the xbox live disconnects. We have trouble shooted xbox live & all is ok. We also had bigpond techs out to troubleshoot internet & all seems ok. So then we took back router & replaced it in case it was faulty, but still getting disconnected from xbox live. The xbox is only about 10-15 metres away from the router. So if anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it. As you can imagine, teenage son is very keen to stay online. It has been suggested that we get ethernet cables running through the roof space, would this be expensive? This is all becoming quite costly & his mates all use a router, so what could be the problem?
Sorry for the long post.
Cheers, Pip.
