Hey y'all,
Lately I've been thinking about what I want in my home theatre, and I've come to the conclusion that instead of an all in one receiver I want an A/V preamp/processor and separate power amplifier (example of high-end is Denon AVP-A1HDCI receiver with POA-A1HDCI amplifier) but all the ones I've seen are really expensive (the Denon package is $14,000 total).
So my question is, are there any decent 7.1 mid-range separates out there OR perhaps I might go an good amp with a basic receiver, because I don't need the receiver to be too fancy - no multi-zone support (this is going to be done with Netgear EVA8000's), only really one, maybe two HDMI outputs, doesn't really need two subwoofer channels (though this would be nice), doesn't need the 8channel analogue input (because I'll be storing all my movies and music on a media server and using the EVA8000 as the primary media source) etc.
Any recommendations?
Thanks,
Paul
