Unless your theatre room is as big as a double garage and you only have 2 chairs in it, placed in the centre of the room, in my opinion 7.1 is a bit of overkill. Is your theatre room big enough and is it set up in such a way with furniture that you will really be able to get the benefits of an extra pair of speakers? I have pre-wired for 7.1 but that's more for a future selling point than my immediate listening benefit. Re: If I decided to buy a Blu-Ray disc player... 3Dec 01, 2008 5:58 am 5.1 will always be sufficient.. but I have 7 speakers so I might as well use them!
My theatre room is only small.. 4.2x3m. But yeah if I didn't have the speakers I wouldn't be in a hurry to go 7.1 Re: If I decided to buy a Blu-Ray disc player... 4Dec 01, 2008 10:57 am Oh ok I always thought you need a 7.1ch speakers for blu-ray but 5.1 will do for me. My rumpus is only 4.5 x 3.5..plus I don't really like the idea of having so many big chunky speakers ..... Looking at some of the designs on websites, they are all selling very similar products. I get that you want something stylish. It's worth looking for search terms like SaveH2O… 2 7010 |
