I want to be able to control my amp via my PC. I have got the usb to RS232 port working (ie. serial port) i have the codes to my amp (Onkyo) but i don't have a good application (front end) to get it all working. Any recommendations? I had a look and this just looks like putty.exe and that is free I think I found the answer here http://www.byremote.com.au/ and its free too so will give it a try this weekend. The main reason i am doing this is i want to have all my AV equipment outside of my home theater room.
