Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation 1 Nov 08, 2008 2:13 pm Hi everyone
I have read quite a lot of posts and have not come across an exact answer that best suits and am confused as to whether a Starserve type solution would be good or whether I need to go a distributed custom system, or even a combination. Any advice would be greatly appreciated please. Needs (to approx. the same 10 rooms): MP3 Capable from my NAS box - playing same files capable at once Video's from my NAS box (currently DivX type avi's) - playing same files capable at once Internet Access FTA TV and Foxtel transmission IR transmittion for changing channel on Foxtel etc Central area for distribution (Study) Starserve sounded good for the Internet, Foxtel/FTA and IR stuff, but was worried that it only provides Composite signals for the video signals....kinda defeats the purpose of having HD TV's. Having laptops/pc's in most bedrooms rooms should mean I can play the MP3's and AVI's easily enough, just means I need something else in the Living areas points - do I just have media centre pc's in the other areas? Is there any particular solution you guys could recommend I look at? Thanks Flaksy Yes well there solution is to blame everyone else while I a 65yr old woman with major medical problems have to just continue to boil water and wash myself in a bucket… 2 16019 If you make sure all taps inside and out are turned off, what does the water meter show if you leave it for a while. 2 20239 13 6636 |
