I am looking for a relatively cheap and easy solution for an in ceiling speaker setup for my HTPC.. JB Hi-Fi currently have a catalogue special for a Studio Acoustics Speaker Solution Kit for $184.00 with the following: - 6.5" 80 Watt 2 way speakers - 39m Cable, Wall Plate - Banana Plugs, Switcher - Volume Controller Here's a link: http://www.digitalhome.com.au/Tvs_And_H ... PACK/20749 Can anyone advise this is any good, and would i need a subwoofer to go with these speakers? Re: Another in ceiling speakers thread - JB Hi-Fi speaker pack 2Nov 07, 2008 7:45 pm That pack is really aimed at adding a stereo pair in another room (from your primary room system whether it's a surround sound theatre setup or a stereo system), hence why it is only 1 pair of speakers and it includes a speaker switchbox.
A surround sound system (should) consists of 5 speakers plus a subwoofer. And, using in-ceiling speakers as fronts in a home cinema setup is not going to give the best results either...
