Hi Guys,
Great forum, have been a long time lurker on here but now after some advice as we are starting to build.
We are currently at the slab stage and looking further into our Theatre setup and Smart Wiring etc.
Below I talk about the recess wall for this room but are unsure if we are along the right track with this, Framing starts next week and builder said we still have enough time to change this around if need to.

We are building the Cosgrove 261 As above and after advice for our Theatre Room.
We are positioning the 105" Projector screen on the wall to left as soon as you walk in the room.
The Recess Wall
Dimensions Of Room 4670 * 4200
Viewing Area 4190 * 4200 (480mm Is that area as you walk in the door so guess we dont really want to count that)
Height of Ceilings: 8'6 (2590)
Depth Of the Recess: 180mm (This is as deep as builder said we could go)
Originally when chatting with the builder he suggested a Recess Wall and we come up with measurements of 1440*2550mm and 700mm of the floor centered in the viewing area.
I notice when most people talk about there rooms set back like this they talk about Bulkheads but im guessing where the door is situated that was not possible?
Anyway to get the same effect I was talking to my partner yesterday and we were thinking something along the lines of the following.
New Height: 2290 (Start the recess from the floor and recessing all the way up untill 30 cm from the roof, this leaves 700mm below where screen would start for cabinet and a spare 15cm above)
New Width: 3250 (This leaves 40cm inside of the recess each side in case we have tall speakers etc we may want to put in there) Out side of the recess this leaves us 47cm on the right hand side of wall and 95cm on the left and centered of the viewing area)
Any Advice?
