Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 13, 2020 9:03 pm I’m in WA. My plan states “conc. @ -106mm”. I wanted to know what this means. I’ve seen other plans with concrete/grano at -1c (I know this means the slab is 1c below the floor of the house) and at -100mm. I guess just want to know if -106mm is significant/means anything? Whether the floor for the garage will be more than one course below the internal floors? Thanks Re: Concrete slab for garage level 2Aug 13, 2020 9:47 pm Your reasoning is correct. The main house slab normally shows as 0 so your garage is 106mm lower. Normally it is -1c which is -86mm so for some reason you garage is an extra 20mm lower. I’ll query their reasoning when I speak to them next. Thanks! isn't a garage level with the rest of the house a given? pretty sure they 'came around' long time ago. if you have a flat block, the garage is usually level with the rest… 1 17525 The concreter will take and reuse. In my case I bought structural LVLs and scraped them back and used them as joists. 1 5153 yep, clearly mark where the infloor heating pipes are before drilling or nailing 1 6057 |
