Hi everyone we are building and have finished our plans and going through our contract quotation. We have been charged quite a large fee to reconfigure and relocate things on the ground floor and upper floor as I didn’t like the way it flowed the way it was on the original plans. Does this sound right? If anyone else moved things around were you charged that much?

Yes and No, if there is no additional internal walls then shouldn't be a difference. If the suspended concrete slab spans a bigger space then they may have to add columns or additional reinforcement, if its a 172mm suspended slab and they have to upgrade to a 257mm slab there is a bit of cost there but I can't see that happening in this case.
