Another couple had none but one did have it. The reflective foil type. I've also seen it on a roof a few weeks ago on another part of the developement. I thought sarking was made compulsory by law recently, apart from the BAL requirement. Would appreciate some confirmation please. Does sarking have to be done by law on all builds nowadays? Thanks Per my understanding it depends upon the Builder standard inclusion. The ones I have dealt with almost all of them offered sarking as an upgrade except for just one who included sarking as inclusion for tiles but charges extra for colorbond. Thanks It is mandatory under the Building Code of Australia (BCA) that all tiled residential roofs, regardless of roof pitch, with a rafter length greater than 6 metres must be sarked.
