Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 17, 2020 11:17 am Hi all, We are wanting to build a double-storey, double garage house on a narrow block of land in Box Hill (Lot 1436, Carmel View). We are also wanting to get hold of the $25K HomeBuilder grant, so it means that we need to keep it under $310K. I've seen some designs, but an additional constraint is that I'd like to include a 1.5m x 3m study nook/room which can also be doubled up as a sort of meditation/prayer room. Honestly speaking, am I asking for too much? If so, I'm happy to go for a single storey single garage design, but wanted to just reach out to the wider forum. If you are seriously considering purchasing that land, then my advice is to ring the planning department of that council for clarification, or better still, go in and… 1 745 We have just moved into 9.4 x 43. We built a single 3 x 2 plus study and it's only the two of us so it's enough. However if we had two teenage kids I would look at double… 4 3217
