Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 11, 2020 4:51 pm Hi our builder has told us we need to do one of the following: Change the color of our roof to a light color (same as the house) Remove a large window from one of the living areas Change 3 fixed feature windows to double glazed awning windows When I suggested that double glazed fixed windows had a lower U rating than awning, they said there is a new May 2020 regulation stating airflow as a requirement. They said that the roof color option or removing the window doesn't require additional airflow, but double glazed fixed windows while having a better U rating doesn't meet the airflow requirement. This doesn't make sense to me and I am concerned they are just pushing us down a cheaper path so seeking any advice or feedback from the more knowledgeable. I Any thoughts or comments appreciated.
