We are building the Savoy 35. Concerned about noise due to the void. Would having dwarf plaster wall instead of the usual staircase balustrade help with noise travelling between the living and Games areas?

In general unless is insulated plaster wall, it does nothing.

My home is very open plan I dread it sometimes.

The sound of people's voice is significantly pounder in open plan homes.
