We are hoping to have some paving done at the rear of our new home. Is it cheaper to get our builder to pour the slab whilst building the house or to just do it ourselves separately after the house is built?

Should cost less with the builder using same guys as slab,but I would still get a quote as builders sometimes like to pick up easy margin here, personally I saved 40 percent doing it this way,but builder knew I knew my shhitt down to the concrete suppliers and quality.

The floor slab needs to be perfectly flat for laminated floating floors otherwise they will bend and 'pop' when you walk on them. For tiles it's not so critical.
