In my eperience (whether it helps or not) building a split level on a block with a 1.5 meter fall front to back, ended up costing me around $16K for the split (i.e. higher ceilings at the back half of the house 3.2m versus 2.7m at the front of the house) giving me a 500mm step down (3 step)... Additional slab costs were around $26K which included around 50 piers/screw piles and some cut and fill activity and the inclusion of deepend edge beam . Again this will differ for every build.
