Browse Forums Building A New House Re: solver paint lundy grey for exterior? 21Jun 20, 2009 6:53 pm What a drama we have had over the last 2 weeks with our render. Firstly, the purple feature colour was painted on the wrong wall altogether. Then we realised they had used the wrong render colours altogether ... they were working of old plans. We had changed the render colours in Feburary (and at a cost of a $400 variation fee). So the colour I was loving was in fact a 200% tint of our original colour choice (Taubman's Birchstone), but the purple was way off the mark. It's been a bit of a drama and basically they are now going to re-render it all over again in the correct colours. The purple wall incorrectly textured is now painted over in white ready for the Lundy. I am hoping the Lundy isn't going to be too dark now, as seeing how much darker the Birchstone turned out it has me worried. Will keep you posted. Re: solver paint lundy grey for exterior? Heya jaelee what a pain in the butt! have they fixed it up for you yet? Re: solver paint lundy grey for exterior? 24Jul 05, 2009 8:06 pm On Friday, finally, renders were back on site. They still haven't finished but I took a couple of photos of what they have done. The colour is darker than what I thought it would be compared to the photo that was posted previously (Lucas777). I don't know if this is perhaps that our site supervisors said they tint the render 200%. I like the colour, it's quite an earthy colour and more a brown tone than a grey tone. To be honest it wasn't really what I had envisioned when I chose my colours, but it looks good and am happy with the final outcome. I will post the photos I have taken to give you some idea, but I think the overall picture of what the colour is truly like will be when the whole house has been done and the scaffolding has been removed. They re-rendered the correct wall in Balsamic and am very happy with that colour. (The previous purple they had was wayyyyy toooo purple ) Hope everyone elses build is progressing well. (The bit of purple render you see is the wrong purple render, that was Taubmans Midnight Passion) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: solver paint lundy grey for exterior? 25Jul 07, 2009 7:12 pm NICE - That looks fantastic!!!! It looks wonderful matched with your light roof. We had our colour selections yesterday and although I'd considered the lundy I think it will be too dark for us as we are having a much darker roof and it could end up being a bit 'too much', for us anyway I bet you can't wait to see the final product! Re: solver paint lundy grey for exterior? 28Jul 17, 2009 8:47 pm That's looks fantastic!!! I am glad we went with the Lundy Grey. In about 6 months I will post a pic with our dark roof!!!!!!!!!!!! Re: solver paint lundy grey for exterior? 30Jul 19, 2009 6:48 pm lucas777 Hi there everyone It's been such a long time since I last visited this forum but attached is a picture of our house nearly complete. I'm sure you're all keen to see the lundy grey - I would totally recommend it. Lundy grey render, woodland grey trim and shale grey for the roof & gutters. I did so much research on colours and very happy with the result. Just done the inside too - another nightmare but all good too. Hope the builds go well. Michelle Hello, Wow that garage door looks fantastic with Lundy grey render. Is this garage door "Murray Cedar" from Centurion garage doors ? Would be gr8 if someone can let me know. Thanks ET Re: solver paint lundy grey for exterior? 31Jul 22, 2009 11:30 am ethomas09 lucas777 Hi there everyone It's been such a long time since I last visited this forum but attached is a picture of our house nearly complete. We wanted something different, and sometimes different can either look really good, or really bad We are happy with the end result. When the front doors and garage door go in, we should have the final look that we were after, fingers crossed. Re: solver paint lundy grey for exterior? 38Dec 01, 2009 6:03 pm Yeah I know what you mean! Our front door isn't quite what I was hoping for, but it is easy enough to change. I will have to post another pic when the garage door goes on What colour door are you having? We are going with Caoba (?spelling) dark timber look sectional BUILT with Homebuyer's Centre - Aussie Alfresco Games viewtopic.php?f=31&t=16668 Moved In - Dec 14th Painting all but done - Jan 11 Front Landscaping - Feb 8 Moved In PICS Page 43 Re: solver paint lundy grey for exterior? 39Jan 26, 2010 7:13 pm jaelee Our renderers finished last week. The feature tiles were finished yesterday. Here is the latest photo I have. Will start my own thread soon when I have more photos. http://i662.photobucket.com/albums/uu350/davdenwa/200929November019.jpg Hi Jaelee, your tiles look great! May I ask where they are from? I have been trying to look online at various exterior wall tiles with limited luck. Thanks. Re: solver paint lundy grey for exterior? 40Jan 26, 2010 8:29 pm The wall tiles were bought from Odin Cermics (WA). They work out to approx $66 a square metre.
