As it stands in our current plans, we don't have access to our rear yard via the garage. We can enter the home via the garage and walk through the laundry for access to the side of the home, or enter the rear yard from the front yard via the other side of the house.
How important do you think is rear access direct from garage? Just trying to fit everything in on a small block!
Thanks in advance.

I personally wouldn't worry about it, as long as you have access on the other side of the house. We deleted our garage rear P/A door, mostly to save ~$380, but also it takes away some wall space in the garage for storage etc.
We also have a rear shed though (corner block) so that might be a factor. But as long as you can move a lawn mower etc around via the other side to the rear then it shouldn't be an issue.

If at all possible to have it, I would. We use ours a lot. We can walk around the other side or through the house, but that would drive me nuts. I feel like it would be one of those small decisions that you regret. Like me not adding a 3rd out side tap near the laundry just to save a few hundred, silly mistake.
