Our perimeter has been backfilled but I just noticed that the footings on the lower level are buried and no longer visible. I just want to know if this is a defect that I can ask the builder to rectify? What is the AU standard for backfilling around the slabs? How do we measure enough backfill? I have a feeling that the backfill was made to make it very close to the level of my neighbour’s Zero-lot garage. But in effect my footings are buried and so are part of my bricks.
