Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 10, 2020 9:19 pm Having done some research online, I have the following information on smart/video door bells. 1) I have isolated my search to have a peep-hole smart door bell. Pros for me * I believe this eliminated my issue of having it powered by electricity. * It has the battery behind the door and just the lens out front for better security. * I can still use the manual peep-hole if required 2) On Battery, looking for a easily replaceable rechargeable battery or even aaa or aa batteries 3) Motion detection required 4) Should be able to select area required for Motion detection 5) Video recording available 6) save options to micro sd and cloud 7) can connect to wifi 8 ) ios app available 9) preferably 1080p with 160 angle view I liked the Ring peep hole camera except for the following * no save to micro sd * needs to subscribe for a monthly plan for their cloud * can only replace battery through them Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks. Re: Smart door bell 2May 10, 2020 11:30 pm Have you checked Eufy Cam? I am in the same boat and Eufy tick all the checkboxes you mentioned. I dont have first hand feedback on it yet. But it got some good review. Nim Re: Smart door bell 3May 11, 2020 11:07 am Following, I would be needing one later this year. Feedbacks look good. The battery option is good. However the battery might be a problem as it is not removable. And then you will need to remove the door bell from the door and charge for around 6 hours. I also doesn't have a battery indicator unless the charging is started, so no way to know if the battery is down. Not sure if it supports custom cloud upload as well Re: Smart door bell 5May 11, 2020 2:13 pm KameGame Following, I would be needing one later this year.
