Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Concrete interior walls 2Apr 26, 2020 5:29 pm I've seen a few over the years and while some of them can look good as maybe a feature wall in somewhere like an entrance foyer or lounge , the overall feeling I get when I walk into some of these homes where every wall is concrete is that they are cold and sterile. Maybe it is my experience as a chippy over the years. Other people love them though so it comes down to personal preference. Concrete walls would be nearly 50% more at least over a timber stud wall and plasterboard both sides -- depending on structural requirements of course. You will be also having issues with integrating electrical or plumbing into them as after chasing for conduits or pipes, you would have to grout and it won't be looking good. But what you can do though is to install concrete look rectified tile of 1200x1200, 2400x1200 or even 2400x2400 size with a darker grout.
