There are so many wonderful melamine products today, particularly in matte finish. I build and install kitchens for a living and melamine panels are very common. I personally think the sweet point for pricing is melamine panels with stone tops and quality hardware. If cost is no issue then sure, go for 2 pac but you can get a very stylish kitchen using melamine. I've just built myself and opted for matte finish melamine.
