My first post. I want to do a KDR in Whitehorse council in VIC on a 15x36 block with northern street frontage, fairly flat. I narrowed down to 3 builders with 3 designs: Boutique, Carlisle and GJ Gardener. Here are the details:
- Boutique. My initial choice of a 38sq double was too wide for the block because council requires 3m setback from one side. They recommended another slimmer 38sq house, 11.45x22.31m.
- I picked a 47sq plan from Carlisle, 12.72x21.47. Their sales said they can build this plan on the block based on my land contract but without actual site inspection. I have also reminded them about the 3m side setback. They seem to be confident.
- I picked a C shape plan from GJ because I want to get more light into living area as the backyard is facing south. As for siting, I guess GJ is more than happy to alter the plan to fit the block. --Their prices come back quite different in terms of $/m2. They also have different inclusions, upgrades and site costs estimates. I would appreciate some advice. (Hope attached photos worked)(I'll try photos again)
