Hoping someone can give me some guidance with choosing a building inspector for a new build. Have spoken to one guy who seems to do quite a few inspection stages and is 5k but looking to get a second quote and it is turning out to be hard to compare as they seem to offer a different number of inspections.
What stages are generally recommended for a 2 storey build (double brick ground floor and timber frame upstairs)?
And can anyone recommend someone who is great in Perth?

I used Lewis from Cap-It-All Inspections and he was great - very thorough and quick to produce his written reports. Cost about $2,3k for 5 stages of a double storey build, would happily use him again!

I used PCM concepts. Craig is very knowledgeable and his reports are very detailed. If you are shopping around, ask to see a copy of their sample report.
Ours is a single storey build though but to give you an idea all 5 stages checked and it was roughly under $2000. We're at the lock up stage.

Not the case, had my final inspection last thursday with another volume builder. Had 2 supervisors, my partner and myself. Plus our independant inspector came an hour…
