With the 12 months having expired in Jan 2021, and your house still not built, what happens now? Do they stick to the price past jan 2021 as well?

Re: Building a Doulton in Geelong 90Apr 13, 2021 10:16 am No, it didn't happen. Quickest? 16 months? The start date we were given now is April 26th. I complained that it was past the 21 days in the contract, and the Pre-Site Manager chased up the site team, and they are starting on the 21st, as the retaining walls need to be done before the house starts! Not long to go now. Well on the way! Best wishes cheers Roy Re: Building a Doulton in Geelong 92Apr 15, 2021 8:26 am I spent a couple of hours cleaning up some large lumps of concrete and pieces of wood, nails, etc on the block (had to break up the lumps with a pick, into "manageable" sizes) and put it on the naturestrip, with the intention to getting someone to come and take it away. When I drove past the next day, someone has dumped a wheelbarrow on the naturestrip, and the day after that there is a cardboard box, and some plastic bottles on the block and naturestrip! How clean do they want the site, when they say remove rubbish? There are numerous pieces of small tile fragments, small lumps of concrete, bits of roof tiles, scraps of wood! It would need a bobcat and scrape the whole lot off to the tip (don't they do that anyway?), that's the only way to "clean it up"! And if I do that, are they going to reduce their "site costs" by that amount? Re: Building a Doulton in Geelong 93Apr 16, 2021 10:16 am Doesnt make sense to clean up the site when they are going to scrape it anyways. Did they ask fir it to be cleaned up completely? Re: Building a Doulton in Geelong 94Apr 17, 2021 2:30 pm They asked me to remove the rubbish and the props holding up the fence. But there are lots of small broken tiles, lumps of concrete, pieces of timber, etc, and I was concerned that they would expect a "clean" site. I got Jim's Mowing to pick up the larger lumps that I managed to break up and place on the naturestrip, and they also cut the grass and picked up the rubbish there, and sent me some photos. I forwarded these to Metricon. Metricon were satisfied that it is clean enough to start, I went there yesterday and removed the props, the fence didn't fall down, not sure why there were there!
