Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building a Doulton in Geelong 65Nov 28, 2020 2:18 pm Finally got the planning permit, now waiting for a building permit (they said 2-3 weeks). Not sure what (if anything) will be done prior to Christmas shutdown period in January. We'll have to keep cutting the grass! Re: Building a Doulton in Geelong 66Mar 02, 2021 12:40 am Finally got the tiles sorted out, all other documentation has been corrected, just waiting on the final variation doc and docusign for all of them. Hopefully we can get a building permit very soon, it's been a slow, frustrating journey so far! Re: Building a Doulton in Geelong 67Mar 04, 2021 11:36 pm Finally got all docs corrected to our satisfaction! Docusigned all, they will be passed to the Permits team next week, and maybe we will have some progress (finally)! Re: Building a Doulton in Geelong 69Mar 05, 2021 10:26 pm Thanks! It's been a loooong journey! We paid or $1,500 deposit around November 2019, and with all the Covid stuff last year, it has dragged out far longer than expected! And they already approved the planning permit, so why the delay now? It's still the same plans! Re: Building a Doulton in Geelong 74Mar 16, 2021 9:29 am Finally got some information. It's the neighbour's consent that is required! Hope they don't object, it's taken us a year to get this far! Re: Building a Doulton in Geelong 75Mar 19, 2021 5:09 pm And just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water! We have been advised our building permit has been approved, but.... wait for it.... Because we are building close to the easement, we have to apply to Barwon Water also, which will be another 2-3 weeks! Seriously, they could have done that months ago, the plans have been finalised for several months! We are so p'ed off right now! If so, i agree, they really should have known better. Sometimes i think they use these delaying tactics on purpose! Re: Building a Doulton in Geelong 77Mar 23, 2021 11:10 am Sparkyf Thanks! Has metricon changed the price on you or are they sticking to the agreed price when you paid the 1500 deposit? Re: Building a Doulton in Geelong 78Mar 24, 2021 3:38 pm Roy Allantos Sparkyf Thanks! Re: Building a Doulton in Geelong 80Mar 27, 2021 12:29 pm It was 12 months allowance from Jan 2020, without price change.
