Re: What Were Your Site Costs? 2Mar 25, 2020 10:31 am Hey Mitchetto Welcome to the forum This has been discussed week in, week out and to no avail, site work cost is a hot topic The issues as i see it are: 1.What are you building, eg single or double storey?, Double brick or brick veneer?, Timber or concrete slab? 2.Soil Classification, Contour survey, do you require retaining on the boundary or under the walls or combination of both? 3.Floor Plan and engineering plan Images...? a picture tells a 1000 words 4.The better the information you put up the better the reply and it assists others here is a visual Bim 3D example Slab and formwork cost Site information on the above Classification:Class A Slope Front to Back: 3m Slope Left to right : 1.2m Block length: 36m Block width: 10m House details: see project Data Build Materials: see data Total Cost: You can estimate it from the material/quantities Data Material + Labour +Overheads + profit = trade cost Hint. That is a matrix equation and its easy to solve OT Don't expect a Builder to give you privileged information but if you own the design and copyright then it's yours to do as you please. As for Home owners I find that they are happy to share Information, the issue becomes it's usually presented in a way that is vague ,difficult to understand and useless, hence they don't reply or " how long is a piece of string" is a reply I often see?"
