Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 15, 2020 10:31 am Building a townhouse, with a single garage (3.5m x 6m) up against the boundary. However, the upper floor must be at least 1.8m from the boundary, resulting in the upper floor boundary wall spanning from one end of the garage to the other (6m). See attached pic. Does this large span incur significant additional engineering and cost (brick veneer)? The alternative is to not build over the garage at all, so the upper floor boundary wall is fully supported by the garage wall. Looking for advice on potential costs impacts.
