Regards, Sami Hi Sami, We have just paid an initial deposit and received a quote from Dennis Family for the Stanthorpe 33 which we have redesigned to accommodate the setback requirements of the block. Very impressed with the level of service to date. I am also a first time home builder and will be interested in your experience as well. What size Flinders are you thinking of building? Regards NoviceBuilder Re: Building with Dennis Family 3Sep 29, 2008 12:54 pm Hi samiather
Welcome to this Forum. I am sure this forum will be of great help. We are not building with Denni$ Homes, but a friend of mine has built with them and they seem to have done a good job and also they were one month ahead of schedule. This should make you happy. We are building in Epping too. Where abouts in Epping are you building? Good Luck Re: Building with Dennis Family 4Sep 30, 2008 12:37 pm sorry .
just realized after posting this comment that we are planning to Build in Lyndarum, Epping. I have looked at the Display Village and so far Dennis Fmaily design look impressive. I would personally like Flinders 310, but my wife is keen to see this Home first we should proceed with it. I talked with Lady in Deenis Fmaily Office and she told me that they are opneing Flinders 310 in doreen this weekend, so we are going to Doreen this wekeend to see how does it looks like Regards, Sami Re: Building with Dennis Family 5Sep 30, 2008 12:56 pm Good to see I'll have some company in Epping. My Wife and I are building in Horizons (the little estate between Lyndarum and Auroa). We found a nice block overlooking the nature reserve.
If you can I would certainly see the home you like before proceeding. Sometimes your impression can be very different in person. I am building a custom design and sometimes get a little anxious about not being able to walk through before we build it! Finally Designing and building the home I always wanted to! We also have signed up to DFH... we are doing the macquarie... which is the flinders... so far we are very happy with the service... they do changes quite easy and we hope to start around april... we will be building in melbournes west... Hi lildutchgringo, We are building with DFH in Taylors Hill (Stanthorpe) what estate are you building in? We went to Melton on the weekend and saw the Flinders and the design looks very good. We are going to have floorboards in the house and were interested in the floorboards which DFH used in this house. We too will be building in Taylors Hill... Well i know the floorboards they use in that house are very expensive and they are laminate floors.. at least thats what i was told... but for a lot less than the price DFH flooring (around $110 per sqm if im not mistaken) you could get really nice Bamboo flooring (around $60-$80 per sqm) (which is what we hope to be doing) which are better than solid timber floors, harder and longer lasting and look great... regards lildutch Re: Building with Dennis Family 10Oct 01, 2008 2:34 pm Archieein [We are building in Horizons too, overlooking the nature reserve close to the RSL In that case when we all move in I'll buy you a drink at the RSL. We were initially going through them but found their service to be rather ordinary. Are you getting them to install it? We did some intial inquiries and there are two different installation methods - one has an underlay and another the flooring is stuck to the slab. What part of Taylors Hill are you building in? We are in Watervale. Regards, NoviceBuilder Re: Building with Dennis Family 12Oct 01, 2008 3:25 pm Hey novice....
I got a quote from them but i thought it was too much.... i found a place that would do it for $60sqm and it is a floating floor (no glue required) and he was going to throw in the underlay as well... we were initially going to floor the whole place though now we are going to tile and floor... and i will be installing the floors myself but dfh can do the tile... done that before looked great but christ what a job.... we are in the taylors hill estate... regards LDG Re: Building with Dennis Family 13Oct 02, 2008 10:05 am Daffy Duck wrote:

We are considering putting timber flooring in the living areas, master bedroom and hallways so any savings we can make in this area would be good. You can PM me if you prefer. We went through DFH's displays in the northern suburbs today to try and get some color scheme ideas. We went to the display in Doreen and liked the floorplan of the house. If I had a block which suited this type of house then it would certainly be on my shortlist. Are you going to get the alfresco extended? Regards, NoviceBuilder Dorren Display Village 16Oct 09, 2008 3:23 pm Hell Novice Builder.
Yeah on Sunday 05 Oct 2008 , I visited Flinder 310 in Doreen, furthermore, the Lady also showed me Mcquiare recently built by a person in Craigieburn, and I am impressed by Macquire more than Flinders, I would say, so if you have not seen Macquire, then must see if. The problem with Mcquire is that you cant make any alterations whatsoever, but the design or floorplan is more impressive than Flinders. My wife is the same, and wanted to see these house before making the mind up , and we have liked Mcquire alot more than Fliders Sami Hi everyone, Newbie renovator here, after some advice for combining our family room in the picture and the alfresco and make a larger family room. There is a flush sill… 0 4877 Thanks for your reply. I will just wait and see I guess. Trying to get some more information from our builder. 9 30236 |
