Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 09, 2020 4:54 pm Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Hi there, I am currently building a house and my slab has been poured. We have a pre existing fence that runs down the side of the house on top of a retaining wall that was installed by the earthworks company responsible for the whole estate. We were told that our house had to be a step down design because of the slope in the land. The slab for the front half of the house sits higher than the top of the pre existing retaining wall and now the neighbours back yard is easily visible when I walk down the side of the house and will be from 2 bedroom windows when the house is completed. Would the original company that sold us the land be responsible for the cost of raising the retaining wall and fence? The company that did the original retaining and fence have stopped replying to my messages in regards to the matter. The far left fence sheet and retaining was installed by a different business to the one that did the original retaining and fencing. (can't help but notice the extreme difference in height) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Pre existing fence and retaining issues 3Mar 11, 2020 10:19 am Oliver George how can you say my answer is aggressive Anders?
