Hi we are building a house where most likely 3 walls will be BAL 29 (or BAL40 at the worst case scenario).
Our living area faces west with bush view (other walls have privacy issues) so most of out wide features windows or panel windows will be in this side.
I know BAL 29 and BAL 40 windows have a have a minimal thickness glass. Does it increase insulation quality of the room? We were thinking of getting these west side living room windows double glazed. Is double glazing even possible with BAL 29/ BAL 40 windows?
Does the extra thick glass in these windows already provide good internal thermal insulation?
We were worried about our BASIX score having 2/3 large floor length and wide windows in the west area. So hoping either these bal rated windows come with better BaSIX score or have double glazing option.
